The Fugitives have a dynamic sound and light system to set the party atmosphere: Noisy for the head-bangers, or volume to suit the neighbours. Announcements and speeches can be delivered through our PA via our radio-mikes

The lighting system is supported by Haze machines. Together they provide that exciting party experience with the Dance floor filled with beams of coloured light that dance to the music.

Based in Yorkshire the Fugitives operate between Newcastle and Leicester, but will consider any request

Johnny Lee: Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar.

The usual story, Father gives Son guitar at the age of 14. Whilst the worlds attention was focusing on the keyboard in the 80's I was absorbed by the guitar style of past masters, Clapton, Chuck and Hank. Very soon after picking it up I was able to play my very first instrumental "Apache".

In the early days of The Fugitives I was content being lead guitar and never sang. One evening I suggested we perform a cover of a song by Jimmy Nail, Crocodile Shoes. Steve said to me how does it go? I sang it to him and my singing career was launched from that day onwards.
Respect to Dad, the biggest influence in starting me off with my guitar He would regularly entertain us with his acoustic around the fire at home with classics by Eddie Cochran,
Jim Reeves etc...

Ever since I was kicked out of recorder lessons at Orchard Head Junior,
despite the fact that Mum had paid for recorder, book, and bag, [Not
forgetting the brush] I had a musical curiosity.

I am a 'musical curiosity'!

The influences of Irish music right through to the heavy stuff encouraged
me to pick up the guitar, and along the way, sax, harmonica, tin whistle,
Meeting Johnny helped me to improve my guitar technique to eventually get a sound that others might listen to. We made plans to form a duo. There are plenty of good bands and brilliant musicians playing superb music. Our objective was simply to entertain. Music that is familiar, that rocks, that involves the audience. Together we formed 'The Fugitives' in 1996
